He graduated from Central Catholic High School in downtown San
Antonio on 1987. In 1992, he graduated from the University of
Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelors of

Jeni
Hoeksema was born in McMinnville, Oregon. She has been a freelance
artist all of her life. She has done illustrations for various
businesses over the years. She now enjoys carving and illustrating
on pottery that Al throws on the wheel.

In 1995
Al and Jeni met and over time discovered they should start their own
pottery and art studio. They built and started their business in
2000 in the Texas Hill Country town of Spring Branch, which is
located about 30 miles north of San Antonio. Together they produce
a line of functional pottery and one of a kind art pieces.
