Ron
and Elaine are a very creative couple living in beautiful Austin,
Texas. During a trip to Italy they toured
the Murano glass factory while in Venice and were intrigued by the
process of designing, melting and shaping this unique material.
Upon their return, they enrolled in a warm glass class and it soon
became clear that glass was their passion. Both produce the
artistic fused glass pieces and, because they are so in-sync with
each other, they sometimes collaborate on larger works without
missing a beat.
They have
a multi-faceted design history; each schooled in proportion, concept
and color. Ron is a retired architect, having designed medical
facilities throughout the US and the Middle East. Elaine has
developed landscapes, textile design and spatial concepts throughout
her career.
Using “compatible” C.O.E. glass,
their fused glass artwork is always original, vibrant and pleasing
to the eye, sure to make a statement wherever displayed. Select
pieces of their glass currently reside in places around the world,
including Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
